What is Customer Questions & Answers?

Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

Cobra Electronics Silver Touring Scallop Tip slip-on mufflers (1215), sku-192658966, have a 4-inch body and are made for the Honda Goldwing GL1800 models listed below. Described as award-winning, they are designed to add horsepower and torque and produce a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note favored by editors and riders. A proprietary cooling chamber and louvers placed farther back in the core let hot gases cool before exiting, helping resist blueing. The mufflers are welded from mild steel and have a four-step chrome-plated finish. Their large aluminum tips are polished and chromed. The slip-on kit includes mounting hardware and installation instructions. Re-jetting is recommended for carbureted models, along with an appropriate jet kit and new exhaust gaskets. For fuel-injected bikes, the guidance recommends a Power Commander digital fuel processor and new exhaust gaskets when changing the exhaust. Some exhaust products may be illegal to sell or use on pollution-controlled vehicles; check local regulations and manufacturer guidance. Discoloration of exhaust pipes or mufflers is not covered by warranty. Blueing can result from tuning characteristics, including cam timing and carb jetting, and is not considered a manufacturing defect. Made in the USA.
