Circular Polarizing Filter — Compatible with Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM

Built with an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter still allows full rotational adjustment for precise leveling. A nonslip upper rim simplifies mounting, turning and removal by hand. The glass is treated with double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch resistant and water resistant. CPL filters eliminate unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, while boosting color depth and contrast—commonly used to deepen blue skies and make white clouds pop. By orienting and filtering directionally polarized light so it is perpendicular to reflected light, the filter permits much of that reflected light to be absorbed, clearing haze in distant landscapes and producing more saturated, vivid colors. The effect is strongest when the filter is used at a 90° angle from the sun.
