Circular Polarizer (CPL) for Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/2.8

This circular polarizing (CPL) filter is made for the Olympus 17mm f/2.8 M.Zuiko Digital to reduce unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while boosting color and contrast. An ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting yet still permits full rotation for fine adjustments. The nonslip upper rim makes the filter easy to fit, turn and remove. Optical surfaces receive double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust and anti-soil, and the glass is scratch & water resistant. CPL filters work by arranging directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light so much of that light is absorbed, clearing haze in distant landscapes and producing richer, more saturated colors — often used to increase contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds.
