Made for use with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter reduces unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while improving color saturation and overall contrast. Its ultra-slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting and still allows full rotation for fine adjustment and leveling. A nonslip upper rim provides secure grip for easy installation, rotation and removal. Both sides of the glass feature double-sided, multi-layered coatings that are anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, and resist scratches and water. Functionally, the CPL arranges and filters directionally polarized light perpendicular to reflected light so much of the glare is absorbed, clearing haze in distant landscapes and producing more vivid, saturated colors—most effective when used at a 90° angle from the sun.
