Designed for the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G, this circular polarizing (CPL) filter features an ultra-slim aluminum frame that prevents vignetting while still allowing rotation to adjust polarization levels. A nonslip upper rim makes it simple to mount, rotate and remove the filter. The glass carries double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is treated to be anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, as well as scratch- and water-resistant. By selectively filtering polarized light, the CPL cuts unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass, enhances color saturation and contrast, and clears atmospheric haze in distant landscapes. Often used to deepen blue skies and make clouds pop, the filter provides its strongest effect when positioned at a 90° angle to the sun.
