Circular (CPL) polarizing filter designed for use with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S to reduce reflections from non-metallic surfaces like water and glass while improving overall color and contrast. By arranging and filtering directionally polarized light perpendicular to the reflected light, the filter absorbs much of the unwanted glare, clears atmospheric haze in distant landscapes and produces richer, more vivid colors. Its effect is strongest when the filter is used at a 90° angle from the sun, and it is particularly effective at increasing contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. Built with an ultra-slim aluminum frame to prevent vignetting, the filter still allows smooth rotation for precise polarization adjustment. A nonslip upper rim provides secure grip for easy mounting, rotation and removal. The glass features double-sided, multi-layered coatings and is treated to be anti-oil, anti-dust, anti-soil, scratch resistant and water resistant.
