The Kepeak high-carbon steel knife set, sku-5701868502, UPC 958956235796, is listed under Shop all Kitchen & Dining. The 8 PCS hand-forged set comes with a roll bag and contains 8 items: 1 x 9.64" cutting knife, 1 x 11.88" butcher's knife, 1 x 10.8" curved knife, 1 x 11.8" meat knife, 1 x 10.35" boning knife, 1 x 10.23" small boning knife, 1 x 8.18" multipurpose knife and 1 x sharpening rod.

Craftspeople heat and hammer the steel to shape each knife, then quench and temper it to increase hardness and toughness while reducing internal stresses. Repeated forging and tempering refine the steel's structure for durability, flexibility and edge retention. The blades are finished and sharpened with tools including grinding wheels and whetstones.
