The Sebo power head works great with all types of carpets, (EASY TO PUSH BACK AND FORTH even on the new high density carpets). Has a very strong belt that rarely ever wears out. If you get a sock or curtain caught in it, it has a reset and will turn off the roller brush automatically to avoid burning through belts. It offers 4 level height adjustment control: 1 is low height setting for bare floors, 2-3 is medium for low pile carpets and 4 for high pile carpets/rugs. Height adjustment sensor light turns on if you have at the wrong height setting so it works at best efficiency. There is an access trap door on bottom of powerhead to easily remove clogs.
