The supplied manufacturer information names American Metalcraft, Inc. and its product lines: dinnerware, tabletop accessories, buffet and display items, bar supplies, kitchen supplies, and pizza pans and supplies. Archer Kahn incorporated American Metalcraft in the late 1940s.

It first made hubcaps for the Chicago-built Tucker Torpedo, then expanded into pizza pans over the next decade, becoming the first company to make deep-dish Chicago-style pizza pans. It also began making custom stainless steel plate covers. By the late 1950s, it sold copper shapes and bowls, primarily to copper enamelers.

Herbert Kahn succeeded his father as president in 1961 as the product line grew. In 1995, his son David and daughter Susan Kahn Bank took over, bringing the company into its third generation of family ownership. The company expanded from a 6,000-square-foot Chicago facility to a 120,000-square-foot facility in Melrose Park.

It added kitchen, tabletop and buffet supplies while continuing to make pizza pans and plate covers and to sell bar supplies. The manufacturer says it introduces hundreds of products each year and has positioned itself as a restaurant supply company.
