Compact, pocketable design built for creators — the Canon PowerShot V10 is easy to hold and quick to operate. Its menus are straightforward, it powers up almost instantly, and a one-button recording control gets you rolling with minimal fuss. A built-in stand lets you place the camera almost anywhere and tilt it 30 degrees forward or 30 degrees back for the ideal framing. You can even grip the camera upside down and the V10 will automatically reorient the recorded image. Audio is handled by two large stereo microphones for clear voice capture plus a third microphone dedicated to canceling unwanted background noise, removing the need for lavalier or bulky external mics. Optically, the V10 uses a Canon-tuned 19 mm (35 mm equivalent) wide-angle lens so you can fit yourself and others into the frame without overextending your arm. Image quality comes from a high-sensitivity 1" CMOS sensor (the same size family used in Canon’s PowerShot G series) with 15.2-megapixel still capture. Built-in subject detection helps keep faces sharp and well exposed, and Auto Photo mode operates like A+ Scene Intelligent Auto for easy still shooting. Video-oriented features include image stabilization, exposure control, Movie Auto Level, Smooth Skin Movie mode, and an automatic ND filter to avoid overly fast shutter speeds and unnatural motion. By default the V10 records horizontally; rotate the camera on its side and it will switch to vertical aspect automatically. There are 14 built-in color filters for changing mood and one special automatic ND filter for managing brightness without affecting color. For live streaming and conferencing, UVC (USB Video Class) support lets the PowerShot V10 function as a webcam without extra drivers. When you want to share to a larger display, a micro HDMI output is also provided.
