The Canon PowerShot SX740 HS puts distant subjects within reach thanks to a 20.3MP CMOS sensor paired with a 40x optical zoom covering a 24–960mm (35mm equivalent) focal range. Optical image stabilization helps reduce blur at telephoto distances, and the Zoom Framing Assistant simplifies tracking by briefly zooming out to relocate a subject and then zooming back in at the push of a button. Powered by Canon's DIGIC 8 image processor, the camera supports 10-fps continuous shooting with AF lock on and captures 4K video as well as 4K time-lapse sequences.
