A compact yet powerful APS-C mirrorless option in Canon's R system, the EOS R7 combines a 32.5MP CMOS sensor with DIGIC X processing to deliver high-resolution stills and fast operation. The camera features Dual Pixel CMOS AF II for accurate subject detection and tracking, and can shoot up to 30 fps for sports and wildlife applications. For video creators it offers 4K recording at up to 60p, or 30p when footage is oversampled from a 7K area. The R7 uses the same DIGIC X image processor found in the R3 to handle high-speed continuous shooting and detailed video recording. Continuous rates include 30 fps using the silent electronic shutter and 15 fps with the mechanical shutter, with AF and AE evaluated before each frame. An In-Body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) provides up to 7 stops of shake correction via a 5-axis system, and when paired with lenses that have optical IS can compensate for as much as 8 stops depending on the lens. Connectivity covers both wired and wireless workflows: USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 and micro-HDMI ports plus 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks support monitoring and high-quality audio, while 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable image transfer and remote camera control.
