The Canon EOS R7 mirrorless body pairs a 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II to deliver a versatile combination of resolution, speed, and low-light capability for both stills and video. It records internally in UHD 4K up to 60p using the full sensor width, supports 10-bit output, and includes Canon Log 3 plus HDR-PQ. For higher-quality 4K at 30p, a 7K recording area can be used to oversample footage, improving detail and reducing noise and moiré. Stabilization and shooting speed: a sensor-shift 5-axis in-body image stabilization system corrects up to 7 stops of camera shake for handheld shooting and video. When paired with lenses that provide optical image stabilization, the combined system can compensate for as much as 8 stops depending on the lens. Fast capture is supported with up to 30 fps using the electronic shutter and up to 15 fps with the mechanical shutter. Monitoring and storage: composition and playback are handled via a 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 1.6m-dot vari-angle touchscreen LCD.
