Built around a newly developed 30.4MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with a DIGIC 6+ image processor, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is engineered to deliver detailed stills and reliable low-light performance. The camera’s native sensitivity is ISO 100-32000, which can be expanded to ISO 50-102400, and it can capture continuous shooting at up to 7 fps. For motion work, the 5D Mark IV records DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) video at up to 30 fps with a 500 Mbps bitrate and can extract 8.8MP stills from 4K footage. In-camera 4K recording employs 4:2:2 sampling with 8-bit color depth. Additional frame-rate options include Full HD 1080p at 60 fps and HD 720p at 120 fps for slow-motion capture. Focusing duties are handled by a 61-Point High Density Reticular AF system with an AF Area Select Button, while Dual Pixel CMOS AF and Movie Servo AF provide smooth live view and video autofocus. The 5D Mark IV also introduces Dual Pixel RAW, enabling fine post-capture adjustments by taking advantage of the sensor’s dual-pixel architecture. Usability and connectivity features include a large 3.2" 1.62m-dot Clear View II LCD monitor with anti-reflective coating and touchscreen controls for touch-to-focus and menu navigation.
