Its compact construction offers a balance of long reach, sharp imaging, and manageable handling—well suited for sports, wildlife, and nature photographers. Optical performance is enhanced by one fluorite and one Super UD element that suppress chromatic aberration for improved clarity and accurate color rendition. An Air Sphere Coating helps reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast and detail in strong or backlit lighting. Image rendering benefits from a rounded nine-blade diaphragm that produces pleasing out-of-focus highlights for smoother bokeh. Stabilization is provided by a four-stop Optical Image Stabilizer with three dedicated modes: Standard for general use, Panning for tracking moving subjects, and Exposure Only for stabilization only while the shutter is open.
