Overview: BT-5000T is a pinless, non-contact wood and wall moisture meter with a digital humidity sensor and audible alarm. Designed for non-destructive testing, it can detect moisture up to 20-40mm below the surface without penetrating or damaging the material. Key performance: Uses a high-precision alloy probe together with a high-performance processing chip to deliver fast, professional readings across a range of 0.0-100.0. A high-frequency wave allows the instrument to penetrate masonry to about 40 mm for reliable moisture detection while preserving the surface finish. Functions & operation: Single-point measurements can display MAX and MIN values simultaneously. The unit includes a data hold function to freeze readings and an audible WET/RISK/DRY alarm with thresholds that can be automatically set to user requirements. After powering up, press the "MEAS" button to calibrate. The "Hold" feature stores the current measured value for later reference. Depth & accuracy: Maximum wall measurement depth is 40mm. This 100% non-destructive tester provides accurate, quick-response results without inserting electrodes or probes into the material. Applications: Suitable for assessing moisture in wood and building materials such as wallboard, slate, tiles, cardboard, plaster, concrete and mortar. Ideal for leak repair diagnostics and checking damp in bedroom walls, floor tiles, caravans and similar surfaces. Note: This meter is not designed to measure metal.
