Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT 275/30R20 97Y XL UHP Summer Run Flat Tires Bridgestone Tire Company Ltd was founded in Japan in 1931. In 1988 Bridgestone purchased Firestone and accelerated their market position in North America. Combined, the company has 52 production facilities worldwide and more than 50,000 employees throughout the Americas.

Bridgestone builds premium tires for passenger cars, high performance sports cars, motorcycles, light trucks, SUVs, Crossovers and Commercial Vans. Bridgestone engineered the Potenza RE050A Run Flat performance tire to deliver sport handling and the assurance of run-flat technology.

This tire uses a solid circumferential center rib to increase steering response and straight-line stability, along with stabilized center blocks for better handling. The tire tread features a block and slick combination that provides excellent dry grip and dependable wet grip, and circumferential grooves to help resist hydroplaning.

For your safety, the tire incorporates run flat technology that allows you to temporarily drive on a flat tire. For great performance, and the extra security of run-flat capability, equip your sports coupe or sedan with the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Run Flat performance tire. While its specially shaped block edges with slanted mid grooves aids to an improved wet performance.

In addition, it also possesses wide circumferential grooves which improve wet traction and solid circumferential center rib that augments response and control. This is the tire's most defining feature. It is built with reinforced sidewalls that are strong enough to support the vehicle's weight even after a puncture and a complete loss of air pressure.

This allows the driver to continue for a limited distance (typically 50 miles at speeds up to 50 mph) to a safe location for repair or replacement, without the need to immediately change the tire on the roadside. The tire's tread pattern includes a solid center rib.

This design element is crucial for enhancing steering response and providing excellent straight-line stability, which is vital for high-speed performance.
