Xpression Pet Chemi Pure Aquarium Media sku-3084250539

Xpression Pet Chemi Pure, sku-3084250539, is aquarium filter media listed under All Fish Tanks and Supplies. UPC: 695990570284. The 60 oz - (6 x 10 oz) size contains Boyd Enterprises Chemi-Pure, an ionic medium that filters mechanically and chemically.

It absorbs elements of decomposition, removes excess acids and ammonia, helps keep pH constant, and aids the balance of positive and negative charges. The resin produces negatively charged ions. It comes in polyester filter bags inside sealed plastic bottles. Use 1 unit for up to 40 gallons; use 2 units from 40 to 100 gallons, then add one unit for every 25 gallons above 100.

A unit remains active for 4-6 months without cleaning or regeneration and is described as cheaper than carbon or pads. The media should arrive and remain moist: if its resin beads dry or crack, they stop working.
