No rating yet(0 reviews)Beyond Horse Massage is a hardcover Unbranded All Books listing, sku-573415265. Jim Masterson, an equine massage therapist for the 2006, 2008 and 2010 USET Endurance Teams and for horses competing in FEI World Cup, Pan American and World Games events, teaches the Masterson Method. Practitioners follow a horse's responses to touch to release tension at body junctions that affect performance.
The barn-friendly book has step-by-step instructions, photographs, illustrations, anatomical explanations and examples from Masterson's practice. A quick-reference section points readers to exercises for dressage, endurance, eventing, show jumping, barrel racing and other horse sports.
The techniques are intended to release accumulated tension, improve mobility and comfort, restore muscular and structural balance and natural alignment, reduce stiffness and pain during training, and build communication and trust with the horse.
