What is Customer Questions & Answers?

Customer Questions & Answers lets registered customers ask product-specific questions and share answers based on their experience. Questions and answers appear after moderation.

Ask about the product itself, especially details another customer may know from using it. For example: Does this camera take good pictures in low light? How long does this laptop battery last while watching movies? Does this computer have noisy cooling fans?

Overview: The Belkin F1DN108MOD-BA-4 Modular Secure KVM provides high-assurance isolation in a compact, TAA-compliant package ideal for government, military and healthcare IT environments. Engineered and manufactured in the US, this Secure KVM line implements Common Criteria and NIAP Protection Profile version 4.0 design requirements in a small form factor while offering flexible mounting and control options to reduce desktop clutter. Security and isolation: Designed to prevent data leakage between connected systems, the Modular Secure KVM uses optical data diodes and peripheral emulation on each channel to maintain strict air-gap isolation even when peripherals are shared. This makes it suitable for sensitive deployments that require separation between distinct network security enclaves. Video, cables and compatibility: The modular design supports current and upcoming video standards up to 4K @ 30Hz. Replaceable, purpose-built TAA-compliant smart cables ensure broad compatibility across installations and eliminate the need for external video converters, extending the useful life of the Secure KVM across upgrades and maintenance. Form factor and mounting: Small footprint design supports single-monitor operation and scales within the Modular Secure KVM series. Optional mounting hardware enables under-desk installation or VESA monitor-back mounting and includes integrated cable management for a tidy workspace. An included remote control supplies full operator functionality while keeping the desk free of extra peripherals. Support and lifecycle: The product is designed for NIAP Protection Profile 4.0 compliance and includes US-based free technical support. Administrators can also select extended warranty options to align Secure KVM lifecycle expectations with other operator-station components. What's included: Belkin F1DN108MOD-BA-4 Modular Secure 4-Port, Single Monitor Switch Base Unit; Belkin Modular Secure KVM Series 8-Channel Remote Control; 12V, 2.5A Universal Power Supply with Worldwide Adapters; Port Naming and Enclave Coloring Labels; Quick Start Guide and Compliance Documentation.
