Laser-cut gears and a fiber-optic leak-detection device count parts as their guide holes pass the sensor. The machine stops when empty.

It offers manual and automatic counting modes and 3 speed settings: high, medium and low. A 3-digit LCD and English and Chinese controls let the operator set the count, pitch and time, select forward or reverse rotation, and manage leak detection. The rear interface accepts a printer or scan gun, neither of which is included. Accessories and instructions are supplied for installation.

To use the counter, connect its power cord to an AC110V supply and switch it on. Set the pitch, place the parts on the left tray, then pull the material belt between the plate and counting gear, aligning the first part's intermediate hole and blank space with the plate's middle line. Hold STOP/RESET for 2 seconds to zero the count; pulling the belt can turn the gear and register a count.

Select manual or automatic mode. In automatic mode, enter the desired quantity before pressing FORWARD, or the motor will not run. Pull the belt onto the empty plate and use FORWARD/RIGHT to count. The motor stops at the set quantity, though inertia may leave the count about 1 above or below it; the plate can then be turned manually to match the LCD setting.

Use REVERSE/LEFT to wind the belt back onto the original left plate, then stop rotation.
