The Aune SR7000 is a new-generation full-size, closed-back over-ear headphone that pairs a stiffer dynamic driver with an optimized magnetic circuit to raise energy conversion efficiency. Compared with the AR5000, the SR7000 delivers a broader dynamic range and finer detail resolution while preserving a warm, delicate tonality. Driver and acoustic engineering - The diaphragm is Aune’s self-developed W-shaped ceramic polymer rigid diaphragm, featuring a larger equivalent vibration area. Tuned with the Distributed Compensation Mechanism (MLD) technology, the diaphragm maintains piston-like motion across the band and pushes the high-frequency extension higher. The measured frequency response is 5-44,500Hz, producing a linear, smooth response and strong dynamic capability even on material with wide dynamic swings. Closed-back design with reduced muffling - To avoid the common muffled sensation found in most closed-design audiophile headphones, Aune incorporated a patented "Dragon Scale" acoustic prism. This precision dense acoustic structure diffuses and filters undesired reflections, significantly reducing the closed-back coloration and yielding a more natural, open-like presentation with improved accuracy. Build, fit and aesthetics - The SR7000 follows Aune’s updated over-ear design language while retaining the refined look of the AR5000. The overall construction is lightweight with reinforced headband and hinge areas. The colorway is a subtle dark green accented by golden hollowed-out brushed metal backplates. The top cushion has been iteratively optimized for a non-oppressive fit, and the ear cushions use slow-rebound foam for enhanced wearing comfort. Compatibility and connections - With a mid-to-low impedance of 55 ohms, the SR7000 strikes a practical balance between sound quality and drivability, making it suitable for both desktop HiFi setups and portable DAPs.
