It requires three 1.5-Volt AA batteries, which are not included.
The bank recognizes and counts coins deposited through its slot. For bills, press the corresponding NOTE key ($1, $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100) and place the cash on the scroll to feed it into the bank. The keyboard lets you update deposited or withdrawn amounts.
