Aperion's DST Dual Air Motion Transformer ribbon super tweeter delivers enhanced treble clarity, faster transient response, and a fuller, more refined high end for demanding home theater and stereo systems. Its Dual AMT design preserves musical detail at the top of the band while adding natural presence to vocals and instruments. The built-in 5-position crossover (plus OFF) lets you set the super tweeter engagement point at 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16 kHz; selecting OFF disables the unit entirely. The crossover uses a 12 dB/octave slope — 8 kHz provides the most overlap with your existing tweeter, while 16 kHz minimizes overlap and only supplements the extreme top end. A treble adjustment knob allows you to reduce the Super Tweeter output to taste, down to -5dB. The DST is housed in a rugged aluminum alloy metal enclosure designed to withstand the diaphragm’s fast motion and to suppress unwanted vibrations and noise, while contributing to a clean, attractive look. Installation is simple: the Super Tweeter taps into the same binding posts as the speaker you pair it with, drawing power from the main speaker so there’s no need to wire it directly to your amplifier. Five-way gold-plated binding posts accept bare wire, banana plugs, spades, round pins, or flat pins for flexible connection options.
