It can be mounted indoors or outdoors, including in a boat or RV. Each rack has a non-corroding aluminum casing and a stainless steel bar rated to hold up to 60 pounds. For installation, use screws long enough to reach a stud and washers to prevent pull-through.

The supplied advice warns that plastic screw inserts may pull out without glue and suggests gluing thin plastic behind the unit to cover the slot where the rod moves.
