It can be mounted vertically or horizontally and made with tough vortex impeller that passes solids up to .25". Its overload sensor prevents bump burnout and it is engineered for 24 hour continuous use. It is designed for high out put and medium head pressure and made to be used on a dimmer switch to adjust the flow by decreasing the amps. Contains no oil thus is aquatic plant and fish safe.
