Anel Yellow Wildlife Houses sku-8274214959 Bee Hive

Anel Yellow insulated plastic bee hive kit is listed under Wildlife Houses. It has a ventilated bottom board with latches and reversible entrance reducers that can close the entrance; blue and yellow reducers also serve as mouse guards. The deep hive body and medium super have latches. Each holds 10 wooden frames with beeswax-coated plastic foundation made in the USA.

A propolis catcher with knobs serves as the inner lid. The ventilated, insulated outer cover has a feeder port and latches; removing its black covers exposes adjustable vents that can admit bees or provide ventilation only. The polypropylene shell contains polyurethane foam insulation in the body and cover to help regulate hive temperature.

The maker rates it R7 and compares its insulation with 7cm of wood. The kit is described as ready for the apiary without painting or other preparation, lightweight, maintenance-free, resistant to water, cracking, decay and deformation, and resistant to chemicals including caustic potash, oxalic acid, formic acid and chlorine. Its parts work with Langstroth wooden hives.

Parts touching bees or hive products use 100% new, virgin food-grade plastic. Hive components are made in Greece; frames and foundation are made in the USA. SKU: sku-8274214959. UPC: 605622175657.
