The Amcrest NV4108-A2 8-channel NVR ships with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive and supports hard drives up to 10TB. It provides 8CH recording and live view at up to 8MP/4K resolution at real-time 30fps. Playback capabilities include 8-Channel @1080p(30fps), 4-Channel @4MP(30fps), and 2-Channel @4K(30fps). This recorder is compatible with all Amcrest WiFi and wired IP cameras and offers limited compatibility with third-party brand-compliant IP cameras. H.265 compression is supported to reduce storage use while preserving UltraHD video quality, enabling longer recording retention. Intelligent search, playback, and backup tools make retrieval easy — for example, motion detection event logs and exact search functions accurate to one second. The NV4108-A2 supports AI features when used with Amcrest AI IP cameras; available AI capabilities depend on the camera model. Note: the NVR itself has no built-in AI features and only supports 2CH AI cameras at 4K@30fps. Network and recording details: maximum incoming bandwidth is 80Mbps. The unit records 8 cameras @ 4K using H.264. For optimized performance, you can record 8 cameras @ 4K by changing the default settings from H.264 to H.265 and adjusting the bit rate to 1792 on each camera. Included in the package are a USB mouse, network cable, and quick start guide. A hardwired Ethernet connection directly to your router is required for operation; the NVR supports both WiFi and wired IP cameras (the NVR itself has no built-in WiFi). A USB backup feature is also provided for convenient exports. All systems are CE & FCC certified and use UL-compliant power supplies.
