Wekiva Foliage Tree Does Not Apply sku-17419950027

This Wekiva Foliage Amberella tree, also called Tahiti Apple or Spondias dulcis, is an Edible Plants listing in a 3 gal grower's pot; its model number is Does Not Apply. The tree has a tropical canopy of long, bright green, finely serrated pinnate leaves.

Its oval, slightly fibrous fruit grows in loose clusters, ripens from green to golden-yellow and has mildly tart, aromatic flesh used in cooking. It needs full sun with at least 6 to 8 hours of direct light daily. Indoors or in partial shade, supplemental light or careful placement is recommended.

Keep the soil consistently moist with deep watering 2 to 3 times per week, especially during dry spells or the growing season, while allowing enough drainage to avoid waterlogging. Nutrient-rich, well-draining loamy or sandy soil with a pH of 6.0 to 7.0 is preferred; compost can improve heavier soil. A fast-growing tree, it can reach 20 to 40 feet in the ground in suitable climates.

It responds to pruning for container growth or smaller spaces; prune annually after fruiting to remove weak branches and encourage new growth. SKU sku-17419950027; UPC 790313263031.
