Alpinestars S-M10 White Motorcycle Gear sku-3307767654

Alpinestars S-M10 Supertech Ampress off-road helmet, sku-3307767654, is Unisex Motorcycle Gear in White, size L. The listing also describes the helmet as Black/White. Its smooth, aerodynamic shell has no external channels that could become load points in an impact; its curved surface is designed to reduce friction and deflect impact forces.

Alpinestars makes 4 shell sizes, S through XL, for 6 consumer sizes, XS through XXL. The sculpted chin bar has a raised collarbone-clearance area, a softer EPS liner extending beyond the shell and a flexible rubber covering. The patented A-Head Fitment System adjusts the helmet's angle and height on the head.

Ventilation comes through 28 ports, comprising 18 intakes and 10 exhausts, excluding the eye port. The helmet has an eject helmet-removal system, removable semi-soft polymer side pads to spread impact energy, MIPS Multi-directional Impact Protection System, ERS Emergency Visor Release and a visor extension for protection from roost and sun.

Its molded, multi-composite shell combines 1) a 3K carbon outer layer for strength and energy dissipation, 2) a uni-directional carbon layer for radial strength and controlled deflection, and 3) an aramid layer for penetration protection. Epoxy resin bonds the layers, while a 4-density EPS liner absorbs energy.

Listed medium-size weights are 1260g for ECE and 1360g for DOT, or 1310g with side pads and 1370g with the visor extension. Versions are listed for ECE R 22.06 and ECE R 22.06/DOT. For angled impacts rather than a linear 90-degree impact, the S-M10 exceeds the ECE 22.06 peak rotational acceleration standard by 76%.

For direct linear impacts, it exceeds the 2024 ECE 22.06 standard by an average of 46% at regular speed; it exceeds the peak linear acceleration standards by 23% at low speed and 28% at high speed.
