AIMS Power CON120AC3648VDC is an AC-to-DC converter and three-stage smart battery charger designed for 36V and 48V systems — popular for golf carts and similar applications. It delivers high charging capacity (25 Amp at 36Vdc; 18.75 Amp at 48Vdc) and supports Lead-Acid, AGM, GEL and LiFePO4 chemistries. The charger uses bulk, absorb and float stages with a variable charging voltage algorithm to help extend battery life, and offers four pre-programmed charge profiles selectable via dip switches. For battery OVP the unit will restart in the same stage. - Charger Over Temperature Protection: Internal temperature measured by NTC; unit will shut down if temperature exceeds 105°C and will restart when environment temperature cools to 95°C. Battery Temperature Sensing (BTS) - The battery temperature sensor input lets the charger adjust charge voltage/current based on actual battery temperature. - When battery temperature is over 40 °C, the unit will reduce the charging voltage to Float voltage and reduce the Max charging current by 10% with every two degree of temperature rise (different for lithium). - When the battery temperature is over 50 °C, unit will shut down.
