The listing calls it Dietes iridioides, native to South Africa, and also names Dietes bicolor. Common names include fortnight lily, yellow fortnight lily and butterfly flag.

Stiff, evergreen, iris-like foliage carries flowers described as white with yellow and purple-blue markings and elsewhere as pale yellow with purple markings. Blooms appear roughly every 2 weeks from spring through fall; each lasts 1 day, with new stems appearing about every 14 days. The plant is drought tolerant and fire resistant. It grows in fertile, well-drained soil but is adaptable.

Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots, remove old flower stalks and snip faded stems to prevent self-sowing. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
