Mechanical precision alignment provides consistently low loss, and the fiber can be reseated for field adjustments or retermination. A 900uum boot is supplied with every connector; separate boot kits are offered for 2.0mm and 3.0mm cable diameters. A VFI (Visual Fault Identifier) can be used to confirm the fiber is installed correctly.
