It is designed to increase airflow and improve horsepower, torque and throttle response; the stated benefits also include acceleration, fuel economy and a more aggressive engine sound.
Its 7.5" tall, 360-degree radial-flow Pro 5R filter has a 3.5" flange, five layers of progressively finer pre-oiled cotton gauze and an inverted top for more filter area and longer service intervals. The filter is intended for street or track use.
A one-piece, heat-resistant XLPE housing has a sealed, patent-pending filter-to-housing interface, a clear inspection window and an auxiliary air inlet that can be closed with the included plug. The computer-designed, dyno-tuned XLPE intake tube resists heat soak.
The kit includes an extension harness for relocating the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and is designed with fewer parts for easier installation.
