Two programmable CAN bus inputs can receive channels from separate networks at the same time, including AEMnet devices and third-party equipment. Factory ECUs from 2008 onward can connect through the separately sold Plug & Play OBDII CAN Adapter Cable, PN 30-2217. Carbureted or pre-2008 stock ECU vehicles require the separately sold 22 Channel CAN Sensor Module, PN 30-2212.

The separately sold Vehicle Dynamics Module, PN 30-2206, adds GPS, a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer for G-loads, roll, pitch, yaw, track mapping and lap timing. Seven programmable pages include four Main pages and Alarm, On-Change and Start-up pages.

The dedicated Alarm page can display user-defined text in almost any language; the On-Change page can show map switches such as boost, traction or lap times. Use the included layouts or create pages with the free DashDesign Graphics Editor. Seven top-mounted, dimmable LED indicators provide programmable shift/RPM indication.

The dash also has an odometer, two programmable LEDs, over 200 supplied programmable SAE and custom warning icons, support for additional icons, and a 'Headlight-in' connection that dims the display and LEDs at night. Two switch inputs can trigger events such as blinkers or high beams.
