Store at 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F); avoid heat above 40 degrees C (104 degrees F). Inactive ingredients are calcium stearate, carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake, glyceryl behenate, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pharmaceutical ink, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid and titanium dioxide. Ibuprofen can cause a severe allergic reaction, particularly in people allergic to aspirin. Possible signs include hives, facial swelling, wheezing, shock, skin reddening, rash and blisters. Stop use and get medical help right away if an allergic reaction occurs. As an NSAID, ibuprofen can cause severe stomach bleeding. Risk is higher for people age 60 or older; those with a history of ulcers or bleeding; those taking an anticoagulant, steroid or another NSAID; those having 3 or more alcoholic drinks daily while using it; and those taking more than directed or using it longer than directed. Do not use it if you have reacted to another pain reliever or fever reducer, cannot get a full night's sleep, have sleeplessness without pain, or are giving it to a child under 12. Do not use it immediately before or after heart surgery or with another product containing diphenhydramine, including a skin product. Ask a doctor before use if the stomach bleeding warning applies; you have had problems with pain relievers, heartburn, high blood pressure, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, glaucoma or difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate; or you take a diuretic. Ask a doctor or pharmacist if you take sedatives, tranquilizers, another sleep aid or antihistamine, aspirin for heart attack or stroke prevention, or any other drug, or if you are under a doctor's care for an ongoing illness. Ibuprofen may reduce aspirin's heart attack or stroke prevention benefit. Drowsiness will occur. Avoid alcohol, driving and operating machinery. Take with food or milk if it upsets your stomach. Taking more than directed or using it longer than directed may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Stop use and ask a doctor if you feel faint, vomit blood, have bloody or black stools, or have stomach pain that does not improve; if pain worsens or lasts more than 10 days; if sleeplessness continues for more than 2 weeks; or if redness, swelling or new symptoms appear. Insomnia may indicate a serious underlying illness. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
