3" Finished Half Square Triangles: Cut 4 3/4" strips across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 4" widths. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 20 triangles across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 140 triangles. 6" Finished Quarter Square Triangles: Cut 7" strips across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 4" widths. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 10 triangles across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 50 triangles. Flying Geese are the foundation of many quilt blocks. They are simple, versatile and quick to make.
