Each platinum plug has a center-wire platinum firing tip, a Yttrium-enhanced ground electrode, a high-nickel-alloy side electrode and a heat-fused resistor.
The platinum tip is designed to limit gap erosion, while the ground electrode transfers heat. Compared with standard plugs, the necked-down center electrode is designed to fire with less voltage for easier starts, quicker acceleration and improved fuel efficiency. The plugs carry a 4 year limited manufacturer warranty.
