The chaser restores damaged threads to near their original condition without thread-cutting equipment. Tighten it slightly on undamaged threads, then back it over the damaged area.
Its die-cast alloy V-pad is designed not to damage threads; V-pads and dies are replaceable. The listed threads per inch are 4, 5, 6, 7, 7 1/2, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11 1/2, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 24.
