This 40A wind energy and solar hybrid MPPT controller combines an industrial-grade main control chip with 16-level AD sampling to deliver accurate monitoring of temperature, charge current, discharge current and cumulative energy generation. MPPT boost charging operates with an input range of 15V to 40V, providing high-efficiency charging and continuous two-way tracking detection throughout the charging process. The unit includes a large LCD for clear status display and lets you set charging and discharging parameters across an ultra-wide range — if you know your battery’s characteristics you can program the appropriate profile for virtually any battery type. Physical conveniences include Dual USB outputs and multifunctional LED indicators; output power-off and time-sharing functions are adjustable for flexible operation. Charging is managed with a complete 3-stage algorithm to protect and extend battery life. The controller supports all common battery chemistries (including open, sealed and gel); lithium batteries require user-defined parameters. To charge 12V/24V/36V/48V/60V batteries properly, the solar panel voltage should be approximately 1.5 times the nominal battery voltage.
