Important first use and safety check: After installation is complete, perform a safety inspection before operation. Fill the tub or pool to the recommended level and power on the unit so it can run its automatic self-check. Allow the thermostat to operate at its highest setting until the control stabilizes and the display lights turn off. Verify the water temperature with an accurate thermometer — it should read 40 °C. Automated thermostat control: The unit provides fully automatic temperature control. Turn the control clockwise to start heating; an indicator light shows when heating is active. When the water reaches the preset temperature, the heater will maintain that temperature. Temperature limits and warm-up rate: The thermostat is designed to keep water at no more than 40 °C (104 °F). When starting with cold water, expect the temperature to rise at roughly 6 ~ 8 °C / h. Automatic cycling: Heating will bring the water to the preset temperature and then stop. Once the temperature falls by a few degrees, the thermostat will automatically restart the heater to maintain the set temperature. Over-temperature protection: An ultra-high temperature protection switch is built in to prevent overheating and protect users. If the water exceeds 49 °C, the ultra-high temperature switch will trip and cut power to the unit.
