This pump model features a built in check valve, however this check valve is only used to prevent water from going back in the pump and causing backspin of the impellers, but if you are going to use the pump in a pressure system, you need to use at least one external check valve in the pipe, the valve in the pump won't fulfill that function. Please note that when this product is in operation, the pump body should be completely immersed in water.
