EQTemp Healthcare Refrigerator — an upright, all-refrigerator built to maintain a 2º to 8ºC operating range (preset to 5ºC for many storage applications). The unit delivers a full 12.71 cu.ft. of internal capacity within a slim 24" footprint, and is finished in white so it can be used freestanding. A digital microprocessor thermostat with externally located controls provides precise temperature management while an external temperature readout continuously displays the current interior temperature plus high/low values; the display can be switched from Celsius to Fahrenheit at the touch of a button. A buffered temperature probe, encased in a glass bead-filled bottle and stored in a fixed box on the center shelf, gives readings closest to stored contents as recommended by the CDC and VFC guidelines. Safety and alarm features include an audible high/low temperature alarm if temperatures fall outside the set range, an open door alarm that sounds after one minute, and a factory-installed keyed lock (2 keys included). Practical design elements include a recessed pocket handle to avoid added depth, a self-closing door to prevent items being left exposed, a flat door liner with no door storage to permit deeper trays, and a fixed center shelf positioned to provide the optimum location for the TMD for the most accurate temperature readings. The cabinet is foamed-in-place for efficient insulation, uses a magnetic door gasket for a tight seal, and employs an internal fan for fan-forced cooling from top to bottom. Additional user conveniences are LED interior lighting in a gentle white hue, temperature memory that restores last settings after power is restored, a hospital grade cord with 'green dot' three-pronged plug, and automatic defrost to reduce maintenance.
