The horse is the seventh sign of the twelve-year lunar calendar; 2026 is the year of the fire horse in Chinese element theory, and people born in that year are described as passionate and free-spirited. Based in Canberra, the Royal Australian Mint makes Australia's circulating coins as well as themed domed proofs, lunar coins and limited-mintage silver and gold bullion.
