The obverse shows Niue's coat of arms, the face value and the year. The reverse has an officially licensed image of Spider-Man facing Green Goblin across a comic-book lightning bolt. Each coin comes in protective packaging; multiples of 20 come in plastic tubes, and multiples of 200 come in themed monster boxes. The rivalry began with Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man after Uncle Ben's death and Norman Osborn becoming Green Goblin after a failed experiment.
