They use the Force for extra-sensory perception and telekinetic abilities, carry lightsabers, and follow a code valuing wisdom, peace and self-discipline. Their training emphasizes the Light Side of the Force against the Dark Side used by the Sith. The Jedi Temple on Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic, was their headquarters and training center. The crest represents the Jedi's harmony with each other and the Force, and many Jedi wear it to show dedication to the order. In the prequel trilogy, internal strife and limited knowledge of the Force lead to their downfall at the hands of the Sith. The order and its values remain part of Star Wars mythology.
