This two-piece, all-composite bat has a 2 5/8 Inch barrel, a drop 3 length-to-weight ratio and a mid-balanced swing feel that Marucci and JustBats say hitters should be able to handle. It is BBCOR .50 certified for high school and college play and legal for the Intermediate (50-70) and Junior League divisions of Little League.

Its MDX composite uses multidirectionally patterned layers designed for a responsive barrel. The Outer-Locking System joins the barrel and handle from the outside for a stiff connection and reduced vibration. Ring-free barrel construction allows more flex and is described as improving performance without dead spots.

The S-40 composite handle is about 8-10% stiffer than the previous handle and is designed to transfer energy faster. A custom-sized handle taper is intended to improve fit, comfort and control, while the micro-perforated soft-touch grip adds tack. It carries a full 12-month manufacturer's warranty.
