The red hose identifies hot water and the blue hose cold water. Flexible and resistant to rust, corrosion, aging and kinks, each has 3/4-inch FIP female-thread connections at both ends for water heaters or softeners, stainless steel ends and nuts, and EPDM washers.
The operating range is 40 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit; rated working pressure is 150 PSI, with intermittent pulse pressure up to 250 PSI. The connectors meet lead-free drinking-water standards and are described as certified. They replace existing connectors without a complex installation.
