A track measuring 15 1/4 inches from metal end to metal end fits a drawer measuring 14 3/4 inches because part of the track attaches to a plastic piece extending from the drawer's back. The top and bottom mount slides are made of metal and plastic. They are galvanized and salt-spray tested for 72 hours for corrosion resistance.
Metal backplates, roller-equipped stops and reinforced plastic heads strengthen the rail system and help drawers glide smoothly. The slides hold up to 100 lbs and can replace tracks in dresser, nightstand, wardrobe and cabinet drawers.
