It uses heated directional airflow instead of a hot plate to dry and straighten hair without extreme heat. Its brushless motor runs at 110,000 rpm and produces wind speeds up to 23 m/s.
An LCD shows the settings: 3 wind speeds and 4 air temperatures, 195°F, 250°F, 285°F and 320°F. The temperature system checks airflow 100 times per second. Airflow starts when hair is clamped; standby begins after 10 seconds, and automatic shutdown follows after 3 minutes. The built-in emitter releases 200 million negative ions during use to help smooth frizz and retain moisture.
